Beautiful Vintage 2002 Gibson ES 335 Dot Tobacco Sunburst Yamano Order w/ OHSC

Here is a beautiful 22-year old holy grail era Yamano Japan Sunburst ES 335 Dot. It’s fully original just as it came out of Gibson’s Nashville factory back in 2002 and and has some striking maple flame on the top back and sides. It is a Memphis build, and this one was especially selected for export to Japan by Yamano, who it is said secured many of the greatest tops of the 90’s & 2000’s. It is a beautifully figured old Tobacco Sunburst flametop, which is ageing beautifully and well along the road to being a real vintage looker. The factory fitted grovers have taken on a dull grey patina and are working fine, staying in tune for days. There is finish checking in the nitrocellulose which looks all the better for being natural. The neck and body binding has turned a really nice off white. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, never re-fretted so fret ends still have their binding. Nothing bad has ever happened to it. It has playwear commensurate with the age, which again makes it look better in our eyes. The nitro has lost a lot of shine taken on more of a dull vintage sheen and there is playwear such as scratches, scuffs and dimples etc. The original humbuckers sound great. There have been no modifications, breaks or repairs. Plays and sounds great, super resonant unplugged with a great action.  Has a comfortable ‘59 profile neck. Nicely balanced & weighs in at 3.9kg on our postal scales. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC. It still has its original Japanese Yamano booklet. Case is functioning fine, latches working fine & combi lock working fine. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. A wonderful old Yamano ES 335 dot with a really exceptional top.
