Epiphone Very Rare Japanese Elitist 1966 Custom Riviera E-360TD w/ OHSC & Docs
You are looking at a very rare and beautiful Epiphone. This is an elusive Japanese Elitist 1966 Custom Riviera reissue. To say these only show up occasionally is an understatement. We specialise in Japanese guitars and this is the first one we have ever had. And it is a superb example with hardly a mark on it. I don’t really need to wax lyrical about just how good and sought the Japanese Elitist series models are. This is the rarest of the lot. It looks absolutely stunning and plays beautifully. Perfectly balanced with plenty of resonance acoustically and huge sounding Gibson mini-humbuckers. A slightly thicker neck profile than we usually see on Japanese Epiphones, with something approaching a classic '59 carve. Nut width is 42.5mm. The width at the 1st is 44mm at the 12th 52mm. The depth at the 1st is 21mm and at the 12th 24mm. All factory spec. The condition is exceptional. It still has the clear protective film on the pickguard and pick up covers. Any light spots you can are just light reflections. Some nice birdseye maple showing on the top. Complete original Epiphone branded grey tolex hard case and all case candy. This represents absolute top of the line quality when it comes to an Epiphone Riviera. These stunning Japanese Elitists are now discontinued.
