Fender Japan 1962 Telecaster Reissue Candy Apple Red w/ USA Texas Specials 2007

Beautiful Old Candy Apple Red fully bound Custom 1962 reissue Telecaster from Fender Japan (TL62B-TX). OCAR always looks great on these guitars. It’s an MIJ T-Serial from 2007-10. It has a quality alder body with a white pickguard, full cream body binding (that has already nicely yellowed), 3 spiral saddles and fender stamped bridge plate and big sounding USA made factory Texas Special pickups. It’s from the latter MIJ period (‘Made in Japan’ on the back of the neck in thick font). Neck is slightly thicker than we usually find on MIJ TL62Bs. It has a very dark and dense rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25 neck radius. The maple neck and headstock show some nice grain patterns too. It definitely looks the part. Sonically the USA built Texas Special pickups sound amazing. Plenty of bite and twang and a great Tele action. It is structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications, it is all factory stock. Weight is 3.7kg. It’s pre-owned so does have a few signs of being played, a few bumps and little nicks here and there. Nothing horrendous but not mint condition. Complete with Fender branded softcase. A very cool old top of the line '62 RI Fender CIJ Telecaster. It's well along the road to being a vintage classic.
