Fender Japan Competition Mustang Bass 1969 Vintage Reissue MB-SD/CO OTM
Fender Japan Mustang Bass, it’s not Mexican. It is a CIJ Q-Serial from the 2002-2004 period. It has the excellent fit & finish you’d expect & all the good stuff including an alder body, nice dark streaked rosewood fingerboard, maple neck, white 3-ply perloid pickguard, Duncan designed MB Pups & Vintage White (almost yellow) competition stripes. Neck straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life in the frets & no mods. Weight is great at 3.7kg. Some nice maple grain on the amber tinted neck and headstock. Structurally and electrically sound, no issues whatsoever. Good condition for the year. Has a few small bumps & scuffs as you’d expect but otherwise very clean with no big paint chips etc. Complete with bass bag. A very cool and hard to find short scale bass.
