Fender Japan Jaguar 1966 RI FujiGen MIJ N-Serial Grunge Era 1993-94 Sunburst
Here is a really special Fender FujiGen MIJ Jaguar in Three Tone Sunburst. It’s a grunge-era MIJ N-Serial, made in 1993-94. We don’t find many Fender FujiGen built Jaguars from this era as high volume offset production didn’t really get going until Fender moved to Dyna around 1997 onwards (via a brief spell of Tokai production). It is meticulously put together as you’d expect from a FujiGen built to vintage ’66 specs. It’s got all the good stuff. Alder body, maple neck, nice dark Indian rosewood fingerboard with 7.25 radius and 3-ply pickguard. Everything working fine, plenty of life in the frets, truss rod turning, neck straight. Weight is a solid 4kg. It has a warm three-tone sunburst body & killer looking FujiGen deep red 3-ply tort pickguard. No breaks or repairs. The knobs have been replaced with chrome Tele style knobs. Has some playwear and looks all the better for it. A few bumps paint chips as you'd expect from such an old jag The poly finish has taken on a nice glazed look due to the age. All the plastics have yellowed. A great player too. Complete with tremolo arm & generic padded softcase. A very old Fender Japan Jag!
