Fender Japan Jaguar '66 Reissue Grunge-Era 1989-'90 Aged Sunburst FujiGen Built

This is one of the oldest Fender Japan Jaguars we have had through the doors at GSG and definitely the only MIJ J-Serial! It's a rare chance to own an awesome FujiGen built Fender Jaguar in factory finished Three Tone Sunburst. This grunge-era warrior dates way back to 1989-’90 (MIJ J-Serial), way before Fender Japan were turning out Jaguars in any great number. What's more it is in 100% original condition. It's amazing to think that Kurt Cobain was still alive when this Fender Japan Jag was made! Like the latter builds, it’s a 1966 Reissue with top quality alder body, 7.25 radius rosewood fingerboard & 3-ply red tort pickguard. It has the old style Fender stamped neckplate that FujiGen used on these very early Jags. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Weight is 3.8kg. This rare Jag is over 30 years old so don't expect it to look mint. There are some bumps and scuffs on the body but amazingly it's avoided any paint chips! It is of course complete with trem arm & gig bag. A rare Fender Japan Jag from the era before Fender Japan really got into offset production.
