Fender Japan Mustang 1969 Reissue MIJ U-Serial MG-69 Old Candy Apple Re

Here is a very cool 1969 Reissue Fender Japan Mustang from 2010 (MIJ U-Serial) in Candy Apple Red finish with matching headstock. It has the classic '69 contoured body, 7.25 radius rosewood fingerboard (very dark on this one!) and F stamped neckplate. The guitar weighs in at 3.1kg, and the crisp, clear voice of the instrument when strummed acoustically translates well through the pickup pair. As always, one of the most fun sounds on the Mustang is the out-of-phase setting, engaged when both on/off/on pickup selector switches are at their innermost or outermost points. The quack and spank of that particular setting is unique to the Mustang, and there's plenty of tonal range between the two pickups, with meatier sounds when the neck pickup is singled out. The dark rosewood fretboard features pearl dot inlay and slender fretwire on the 24" scale. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. In very clean condition throughout with just light playwear and no paint chips etc. It still has the shop protective clear film on the pickguard which is starting to lift at the edges but we will leave the buyer to peel off.Any little white spots you can see are just the reflection from overhead spotlights. Neck is dead straight and there is plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. Complete with fitted hardcase and threaded black tipped tremolo arm (drops in and tightens exactly like standard Mustang arm). Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan. A very nice 1969 vintage specification Mustang in a pretty cool colour.
