Fender Japan Rare Jazzmaster 1966 Alder Reissue MIJ 2012 Surf Green

Awesome Fender Jazzmaster in super rare factory finished Surf Green with matching headstock. This was a super rare factory finish for Fender Japan and when you consider they were never made for export outside of Japan it gives you an indication of how many there are (or aren’t) around. Outside of the rarity factor this is a great playing Jazzmaster. It is a 1966 Reissue with top quality alder body, slab rosewood fretboard, maple neck with nice vintage 7.25" radius and 3-ply cream pickguard. The glossy Surf Green finish looks superb on this one. The maple neck and headstock look amazing, tinted very dark with some really nice grain patterns showing all over the neck and headstock. Really resonant too and feels great to play. She is all still factory spec with no mods or repairs. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Brilliant condition throughout. Cannot see a big blemishes or dings/paint chips etc. Just light gentle playwear. Any bright white spots you can see are just reflections for overhead spotlights. It is complete with original period correct Fender Japan softcase (all zips working which is a minor miracle for this generation of softcase!) Tremolo arm, original Fender Japan booklet and expired Japanese shop warranty card (important for provenance as it has the guitar's individual corresponding serial number printed on). All in all a very cool '66 RI Fender Jazzmaster in a much sought-after colour. A keeper!
