Fender Japan Vintage 1986 Stratocaster 1972 Reissue FujiGen Built All Black CST
Here is a cool vintage mid 1980's Piano Black 1972 Reissue Fender Stratocaster (CST 50-R) built to a very high standard for Fender Japan at FujiGen. It’s an MIJ F-Serial dating it from between 1986-1987 (no pencil date on neck heel). It has a great feeling Sen ash body, with slab rosewood 7.25 radius fingerboard. The finish looks very nice and works well with the black three-ply pickguard and all gold hardware. All factory correct with 6 saddles, 2 string trees, F-Stamped 3 bolt neck plate, thinner neck with skunk stripe, large resonant 70’s headstock with bullet truss rod access, Gotoh tuners & and all black plastic hardware. Really resonant unplugged and feels great to play, plenty of bite in the USA made single coils. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No breaks, repairs, routing or modifications. It weighs in at 3.5kg. Some playwear as you’d expect for the age, with bumps, scuffing and knocks. It’s getting hard to pick up these all black ST72s now, they are amazing guitars. Complete with generic Japanese padded softcase and black-tipped tremolo arm.
