Fender Japan Vintage 1988 Stratocaster 1962 Reissue FujiGen MIJ E-Serial

Here is a vintage Fender 1962 Reissue Stratocaster in Olympic White. It’s a very old Fender Japan E-Serial built at the legendary FujiGen plant which would have been built between 1984-1987(no date on neck heel with this one). It has a slab Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25 radius. It also has great sounding pickups and is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. The neck plate has the 'Fender' stamp from the FujiGen era and Fender stamped steel saddles. This guitar looks awesome, in fact it looks like it could be from the 1960s. A far as I'm aware this is all natural ageing. The original Olympic White finished had darkened into a patchy cream/yellow and all the plastics have seriously yellowed, with the metal hardware has also taken on an aged patina. And it plays beautifully. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Electrically sound. Weight is 3.3kg. There is some playwear as you’d expect from such an old Strat. There are plenty of the obligatory bumps & scuffs etc. The volume knobs was lost at some point and replaced with an old Strat tone knob. It comes complete with tremolo arm and generic padded softcase. If you are looking into buying a vintage ’62 RI Fender Stratocaster you won’t go far wrong with this old Japanese warrior.
