Fender Kurt Cobain Original 1980s Fender ‘Vandalism’ Stratocaster. MIJ E-Serial
So forget all the cheap Vandalism replicas made from unbranded Strats, Squiers, Chinese & Mexican guitars. The general consensus is that Kurt's Vandalism Strat was a black 1980's Japanese Fender FujiGen-built Stratocaster. Here is that guitar. This is right-handed not left, but it is basically the exact model that Kurt played. If you're looking for the real deal this is the one to mod with the sticker, tape, pickups & 3-ply guard if authenticity is important. It's an MIJ E-serial built between 1984-'87. It it already naturally aged and ready to go. It’s an old guitar now but exceptionally clean from the era. Plays beautifully with a good medium acton. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). No breaks or repairs. Weight 3.6kg. It has a great vintage vibe going on, some playwear but no big paint chips etc. Still has its backplate. Any bright spots you see are just the reflection from overhead spotlights. Complete with correct black tipped tremolo arm & hardcase. Don't miss this one as these original 1980's Fender Japan Vandalism Strats don't come up often.
