Fender Telecaster '62 Vintage Reissue Bound Top TL62B-TX/MH Japan MIJ
Here's a beautiful 2010 Fender custom '62 Reissue Telecaster (TL62B-TX) in rare Japanese non-export Piano Black with matching headstock and top bound alder body. This is not a normal TL62B. It’s an MIJ U-Serial and was a limited edition built for the Japanese domestic market, not sold at retail outside of Japan. It was designed to sit between a ’62 custom (TL62B) and an Aerodyne model and combines the best of both worlds in our opinion. In particular we love the matching headstock and belly carve in the body, which are both aerodyne features. You also get top of the line specs, including a great sounding set of factory installed USA Texas Special single coil pickups, a beautiful dark Indian 7.25 radius slab rosewood fingerboard, 3 spiral saddles and a Fender-Stamped bridge. The neck is satin with some superb looking maple graining (pics). The binding is nice & tight. There are no issues electrically or structuarlly. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Weight is 3.2kg. It has a few signs of playwear but no paint chips or anything like that. We have only come across a few of these over the years, it's a pretty hard to find Fender Japan model. Comes with deluxe padded softcase. These have now been discontinued by Fender.
