Fender Telecaster Rare 1952 Reissue Factory Blonde 'Micawber' 1997 w/ HSC

Up for grab here we have this beautiful late 1990’s Fender Japan Micawber Telecaster. It’s from 1997 which would have been the from the CIJ O serial era. It was a Japanese domestic Fender and not built for export. It’s a cool light Blonde 1952 reissue based on Keith Richards ‘Micawber’ Tele. It has a great sounding factory installed Dragster humbucker in the neck and the bridge pick-up is a USA TL Vintage. Some nice ash grain is visible underneath the Blonde finish. The serial was erased at some point during the guitars history. The neck pocket shows the 'TL52-65SPL' stamp and is also dated 97.2.1. The tuners have been changed over to Sperzals and the strap pins have also been changed over. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing. Weight is 4.69kg. It has a nice vintage worn in feel with a few little bumps and dings and a dull patina over all the metal hardware inc. the brass bridge & saddles. The two decades of natural aging make it look even better in our opinion. Scuffing and light wear & nicks around the edges. A great playing Tele, the pickups are both outstanding and work well together. The purple line you can see on the back of the neck is just the reflection from blue light nearby. There are very few of these about and we always try to grab them when we see them in Japan. Complete with Telecaster hardcase with key. A beautiful old Micawber.
