For sale here we have this drop dead gorgeous 2005 Lemon Burst Gibson 1959 Custom Shop historic reissue ‘Hand Selected’ Les Paul. Only a very few of special guitars were hand selected from the Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, by the representatives of top Japanese dealers with the highest knowledge of Gibson Custom Instruments who took them back to Japan for exclusive retail to a few select large stores. It’s an absolutely beautiful top on this one as you'd expect from a hand selected R9. Once this beauty begins to really age it will look amazing. Beautiful uniform flame and mineral streaking aplenty. The maple flame on this one has a top-quality vintage look. Complete with all case candy inc. certificate of authenticity booklet & also the separate corresponding hand selected certificate, both bearing the guitar's serial number. Has a good looking rosewood fingerboard. Nice and light at 4.1kg. Obviously no issues at all, no breaks, repairs or modifications. Complete with original historic pink velvet crush lined Lifton reissue hard shell case also in great condition. Has had the full VOS treatment from Gibson's custom shop so some intentional light ageing all over. There is some light wear with a few little well work in paint nicks around the edges etc. It's not mint but looks all the better or it. This represents the absolute best of the best when it comes to a 1959 Custom Shop reissue. We carefully hand-select all our Custom Shop reissues, and only choose the very best tops.
