Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1958 'Hand Selected' Les Paul Standard R8 w/ OHSC

For sale here we have an R8 that thinks it's an R9! If you are looking for the gorgeous R9 top but with the thicker neck you usually find on the '58 plaintops, then this one is for you. It is a drop dead gorgeous 2014 Honey Lemon Fade Gibson 1958 Custom Shop reissue ‘Hand Selected’ Les Paul. Only a very few of these special guitars were hand-selected from the Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, by the representatives of top Japanese dealers with the highest knowledge of Gibson Custom Instruments who took them back to Japan for exclusive retail to a few select large stores. It’s an absolutely beautiful top on this one as you'd expect from a hand selected R8. It has a beautiful VOS and once this beauty begins to age it will look amazing! Mineral streaked figured flame on this one with a top-quality vintage look. Complete with all case candy inc. certificate of authenticity booklet & also the separate corresponding hand-selected certificate with sleeve, pre-pack checklist and hangtags; all of which bear the guitar's individual serial number. It has as a nicely streaked dark rosewood fingerboard and a nice chunky neck as you’d expect from a ’58. Nice and light for a non-chambered historic at 4.1kg! Obviously no issues at all, no breaks, repairs or modifications. Complete with original historic pink velvet crush lined Lifton reissue hard shell case also in great condition. It is super clean with no dings, gouges or buckle rash. It is in fine condition all over. This represents the absolute best of the best when it comes to a 1958 Custom Shop reissue.
