Gibson ES 335 Japanese Hand Selected 1963 Memphis RI Natural Figured w/ OHSC

Here is a beautiful 2016 natural figured Gibson ES-335. To give it is full title it is a '1963 ES-335 TD VOS Hand Selected'. It's got the lot, a huge flame finish, perfect balance and resonance and it sounds truly wonderful. It was built in Gibson’s now closed USA Memphis plant in 2016. However it was hand selected for export to Japan. There's some really stunning looking maple flame and grain visible on the top, sides and back of this beautiful 335. You can see why this ended up in Japan. It is very clean all over with just light signs of playwear although nothing notable. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. The original humbuckers sound fantastic. It plays and sounds great with a comfortable ’59 profile neck. Nicely balanced & weighs in at featherweight 3.6kg. It is complete with its original Gibson hardcase (still with that Gibson candy smell!) and all docs including a shot of the actual guitar in the COA booklet, pretty cool. A very special ES-335.
