Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus 2003 Yamano Order Honeyburst Flametop OHSC & Docs
Up for grabs here is a stunning non-chambered Yamano ordered Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus Honeyburst from 2003. This is a superb example of a Yamano, with a beautiful Honeyburst flametop. Read up on these if you don’t already know… Yamano had a lot of sway in what guitars they got to pick due to the volume they imported from the USA to Japan from the 90’s to the mid 2000’s (a time which also coincided with some of Gibson’s finest work). It is said they had the pick of the bunch when it came to choosing the guitars they took back with them. This is one such guitar. It has a gorgeous flametop that would not look out of place on an R9. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards (mid 2006) so yes, it’s non-chambered. All original, the Burstbucker Pros sound amazing. It has a good feeling neck carve, sitting somewhere between a '59 and '60. There is still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. It has a few little bumps, scrapes and paint nicks, overall nice condition for a 20+ year old Les Paul. There is a little non feelable opaque blemish to the headstock. It has been very well cared for. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with absolutely no breaks or repairs etc. It;s super light for a non-chambered Standard at is 4.1kg, again R9 territory weight-wise. Comes with its original Gibson HSC all working fine, and original Japanese Yamano import booklet. This is a rare chance to get your hands on a top quality Yamano hand-selected Les Paul Standard Plus with a really exceptional top, much better than your average Standard. This one made it to Japan, it’s a true Yamano.
