H. S. Anderson Les Paul Standard Circa 1977 Sunburst Vintage MIJ Japan Hohner

Beautifully constructed vintage Japanese H.S. Anderson Single Cut in Vintage Sunburst finish. This is a really well put together and traditionally constructed Lester with a solid maple top and mahogany body (not hollowed out with veneer), set-mahogany neck of course (not a cheaper bolt-on), nicely streaked rosewood fingerboard, fret-end binding and a good solid volute. Some great looking birdseye figuring in the maple top. Built around 1977 at Moridaira and badged to the legendary H.S Anderson, which was of course the name that bought us the classic ‘Madcat’ Telecaster. Seems they also built some superb single cuts at Moridaira! These are definitely one of the harder to find Japanese single cuts from this golden period of Japanese construction. It has great sounding original humbuckers (possibly Maxon, possibly in-house, I’m not sure what Moridaira was using at the time). Comfortable ‘59 profile neck. Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Weight is 4kg. Some naturally earned age related dings, bumps & scuffs etc as you'd expect for such as old guitar (and looks all the better for it) but nothing bad has happened to it. No breaks or repairs. Complete with HSC. A chance to grab a very sought-after super rare vintage Japanese H.S Anderson single cut from the great Japanese years.
