Rare 1997 Fender Japan '62 RI Jazz Bass Ocean Turquoise Metallic w/ Matching H/S

£1,195.00Price

Up for grabs is this scarce late 90’s Fender 1962 Reissue Jazz Bass in factory Ocean Turqouise Metallic with matching headstock. It’s a rare finish to find on a JB62, even more so with matching headstock specification. Of course it’s a Japanese Fender, not Mexican, so you can expect superb build quality coupled with vintage specs.  Built between 1997-2000 it’s a CIJ O Serial.  It’s a beautiful looking bass in a finish we don’t find very often. OTM is a tough colour to catch, even in daylight setting like this one. It is a lot greener than it looks in the pics, less blue. Please google images of ‘Ocean Turquiuse Metallic’ and that will give you a much clearer idea of the actual colour. It’s a Structurally and electrically sound. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No modifications, breaks or repairs. Weight is 4.6kg. Sounds great with a nice action. It’s in great condition throughout with nothing nasty going on, nothing bad has ever happened to it. Just some playwear with the little bumps and some notable scratches on the back. All stuff you’d associate with a 25 year old bass. Complete with original period correct Fender branded softcase.
