Rare Fender Mustang Old Lake Placid Blue Competition Matching Headstock 2010 MIJ

You are looking at Fender’s closest modern approximation to the guitar Kurt Cobain played in Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' video. Just to be clear this is a quality built Fender Japan Mustang with matching headstock, it's not the Mexican Vintera II model. Anyway, Kurt's was Lake Placid Blue (and obviously a lefty) and this is Old Lake Placid blue, but to me it's still pretty much as near as Fender have built to that guitar. Even Kurt's LPB signature model by Fender for some reason didn't have a matching headstock... (???) Anyway, Kurt aside, this is in itself a rare vintage specification Reissue. It’s an MIJ U-Serial (2010-2011) in OLB with Matching Headstock & Competition Stripes. It has an easy action with a beautiful dark dense streaked rosewood fingerboard complimented by a cream 3-ply perloid pickguard. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine with plenty of life left in the frets. No repairs or mods. Structurally and electrically sound. Weight is 3.1kg. It has some playwear with plenty of bumps & scrapes, but no chips. So please don’t expect a mint guitar! Complete with threaded 5mm tremolo arm (just drops in and tightens as normal) and Mustang hardcase with key. Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan. A cool vintage specification reissue Mustang with iconic connections to Nirvana. Don’t miss this, they don’t come up very often.
