Tokai Vintage 1983 Love Rock LS-60 Honeyburst 'Lawsuit' Era (Open Book Headstock

Here is an absolutely stunning vintage 1983 Japanese Tokai LS-60 Love Rock Les Paul. Vintage Tokai (’78-’85) are our absolute favourite Japanese lawsuit style Japanese single-cuts. This one is a real beauty with a rare honeyburst finish (they are usually bright tomato clownbursts) with plenty of maple grain visible. Traditionally built with mahogany back and neck and-2 piece maple top. You can feel the lovely dry old resonant old wood as soon as you pick it up and hit a chord. The neck is probably a whisker off a traditional '59 profile, but not as thin as a '60. It's very comfortable. Neck is straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Weighs in at a solid non-chambered 3.9kg. No issues whatsoever either electrically on structurally. It’s obviously picked up some playwear over the decades as it should have, even so I would give this an honest grade as 'Excellent' overall, which is exceptional condition for an old LS-60. The little specs you can see on the surface of the guitar are just case fibres. Comes complete with original Lifton style Tokai plated HSC, all latches working fine if a little oxidised.
