Vintage 90's Fender FujiGen Japan Jaguar '66 RI MIJ 1993 Candy Apple Red
Cool old Fender Grunge-Era Jaguar 1966 Reissue in Candy Apple Red with matching headstock. It is an MIJ N-Serial built in 1993-’94. We don’t usually find many Fender FujiGen built Jaguars from this era as high volume offset production didn’t really get going until Fender moved to Dyna around 1997 onwards (via a brief spell of Tokai production). Anyway, it’s meticulously put together as you’d expect from a FujiGen built to vintage ’66 specs. It’s got all the good stuff. Alder body, maple neck, nice dark Indian rosewood fingerboard with 7.25 radius and 3-ply pickguard. Everything working fine, plenty of life in the frets, truss rod turning, neck straight. Weight is a solid 4.1kg. Sounds great & plays great, nice action for a Jag too with all circuits functioning perfectly. No mods, repairs or routing. It obviously has some playwear as you’d expect from the age. All the plastics have yellowed. There are some paint chips that look to have been touched in a bit. So if you are looking for a mint sterile shop-floor guitar she ain’t for you. But if you want a great looking/feeling worn in old Grunge-machine jump on this one. Sounds great & plays great. Complete with tremolo bar & original Fender softcase (all zips working but one tab broken off). A quality built Japanese Fender warrior.
