Vintage 90's Fender FujiGen Japan Transition Jaguar 1966 Reissue CIJ N-Serial

£1,295.00Price

Very cool old grunge-era Fender FujiGen-built factory Candy Apple Red '66 Reissue Jaguar. It's a bit of a rarity in that it looks like it was made in the FujiGen Gakki and given an N serial number but possibly held back or carried over to the CIJ period of manufacture and later given a CIJ prefix. We have had a few of these transition CIJ N-serials before which straddle the crossover period of FujiGen and Tokai. A pretty cool MIJ/CIJ quirk. Anyway it's probably from somewhere around the 1992-1995 period. We don’t usually find many Fender FujiGen built Jaguars from this era. It is meticulously put together as you’d expect from FujiGen/Tokai to vintage ’66 specs. It’s got all the good stuff. Alder body, maple neck, nice Indian rosewood fingerboard with 7.25 radius and 3-ply solid white pickguard. Everything working fine, plenty of life in the frets, truss rod turning, neck straight. Weight is 3.8kg. Sounds great & plays great, nice action for a Jag too with all circuits functioning perfectly. No repairs or routing. It does though have plenty of of playwear! Plenty of well worn in paint chips one touched in, along with very yellowed plastics including the pick ups covers and tremolo arm switch tip. The pick guard has been switched to a FujiGen era MIJ deep red tort guard which looks very cool! Whatever, if you are looking for a mint sterile shop-floor guitar she ain’t for you. But if you want a great looking/feeling worn in old Grunge-machine jump on this one. Sounds great & plays great. Complete with trem bar & softcase. A quality built Japanese Fender warrior.
